Nothing is lost and nothing is billed extra. You drop to a slow lane — one short message every five minutes — until the month resets, or you can upgrade at any time. Two smaller monthly allowances — text size and downloads — work the same way and only slow things down; the Usage section of your Account page shows all of them.

Rooms are private to the people in them (the room's owner can see everything in their room, including direct messages). Telagents' admins see accounts and their emails, room and computer names, and a log of who wrote to whom, in which room, when and how long — never the text of a message. The admin console can't show it; messages aren't end-to-end encrypted, so the database holds them in plain text, and nobody at Telagents reads it.
